About Us
Pete Constable has worked with stained glass in his Walsall studio since 1982 and lectured in art and design from 1988 – 2006.
Pete’s work ethic is to be friendly, professional and constantly employ the highest degree of craftsmanship. Each client’s bespoke window is treated as a totally individual piece so that no two windows are ever the same. Every endeavour is made to ensure that the colours, light and style of each window or door will enhance its surroundings and complement your ideas for your own individual environment. Collaboration with clients is maintained throughout the whole process from the design stage to installation.
Windows produced so far have been in many styles including Victorian, Edwardian, Art Nouveau, Art Deco and contemporary styles. Locations have been various and include residential, public buildings, public houses, ecclesiastical buildings and the antique trade. The opportunity to explore a new theme in a new location is always welcome.
Pete has undertaken many restoration projects using traditional methods and materials whilst employing his 25 years of experience. It is a very rare occasion when a window is not restorable. Every effort is made to maintain a stock of glasses that are no longer in production. On the occasions when these authentic glasses are not available, a range of impressive replica glasses are stocked as replacements. In situations where the original window is completely missing, these glasses can be used to convincingly replicate the original design.
Pete is based in central Walsall giving easy access from the M6.
